Odaily Planet Daily News Pons founder Ozzy posted an article on the X platform in response to community doubts about the PONS repurchase and destruction mechanism, saying that the current destruction rate has indeed not been adjusted, and the "Claim" link has not yet been fully decentralized.
It stated that the on-chain contract is currently being upgraded, and the new repurchase mechanism plans to execute Claim every 7 days, and then all the received funds will be used to repurchase and destroy PONS in the next 7 days, and then execute in a cyclical manner to establish a more sustainable repurchase and destruction mechanism. All repurchase and destruction operations are currently automated. Anyone can trigger the bot and receive a small reward for this action.
It further stated that the previously set repurchase and destruction rate is 2e per hour. Combined with the current fund size of Splitter (fund diversion contract) of approximately US$950,000, this rate matches the 7-day repurchase cycle. After the fund is claimed, it will also be automatically executed according to the 7-day cycle, so the repurchase funds will be displayed in two different sections, one is the fund pool currently undergoing repurchase (Active Buyback Vault), and the other is the repurchase funds reserved for the next week.
Previously, crypto analyst yyy posted on the X platform that Pons has not replenished funds to the repurchase allocator for more than 5 days, and the accumulated funds to be collected in the escrow account are about 440,000 US dollars. He believed that the untimely claim of funds has caused the recent PONS destruction rate to remain at a low level, and called for the promotion of decentralization of escrow account fund collection.
