PANews a rapporté le 4 octobre que, selon Ember Monitoring, une ancienne adresse de baleine Bitcoin, inactive depuis 13 ans, avait été activée il y a une heure et qu'un transfert test de 0,001 BTC avait été effectué. Cette adresse détient un total de 1 346 BTC, ce qui représente environ 115 millions de dollars aux prix actuels. Il est rapporté que ces BTC ont été reçus de plateformes telles que Multibit et BTC-e en 2013. À cette époque, le coût d'achat n'était que d'environ 178 $ US et la valeur initiale était d'environ 240 000 $ US. La valeur de l’actif a désormais été multipliée par 478.
