PANews October 13 news: ByteDance Seed recently sent an internal email announcing the establishment of the "Seed Model-Alignment&Preparedness" department, headed by Yan Lin, reporting to Seed head Wu Yonghui. The original Responsible AI team and some members of the Chat team will be transferred to the new department. The establishment of this department aims to strengthen investment in safety and alignment. The core of alignment is to keep model behavior consistent with human intent and safety constraints, thereby enhancing Agent Model safety capabilities and preventing risks from frontier capabilities such as CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear).
