NEAR Intents: Over $50 million of Bitget’s stolen funds tried to be transferred through Bitget, but only $166,000 went through

Wu said he learned that Aurora co-founder Alex Shevchenko published a document disclosing the flow and interception of funds after Bitget was attacked on September 24. It said that approximately US$387.5 million in funds were stolen in this incident, and most of the cross-chain funds were eventually funneled to Ethereum and converted into ETH; the attacker had tried to transfer more than US$50 million through NEAR Intents, but its risk identification system SHIELD identified more than US$50 million in money laundering attempts related to the stolen funds after filtering duplicate transactions, of which approximately US$166,000 was successfully passed, and another approximately US$50.3 million. Ten thousand US dollars was frozen during the execution process and remains restricted pending subsequent legal and asset recovery proceedings.
